Colorado and Utah – “Behold I speak unto you”

Here we have a wonderful view of the Angel Maroni as he raises his trumpet in recognition of his role in Mormonism as one of the prophets of the Book of Mormon.  As a non-Mormon I of course didn’t enter the Temple precincts, and my schedule didn’t allow a tour of the Tabernacle, but I suppose that’s and excuse to get back there someday.

The statue of the Angel Moroni holds his trump atop the center of the Temple in Salt Lake City. Moroni faces eastwards towards the mountains and also towards Cumorah in New York.

  1. This is a beautiful photograph and I am thankful that you had te chance to share it. You may want to your the welcome center (the Statue in the top floor is beautiful) and the organ in the conference center is georgeous and photographs very well if you have the time for the tour.

  2. I’m glad you like it. I was in the welcome center if that’s the one with the cutaway of the Temple rather then the one with the diorama of Jerusalem, it’s just my schedule didn’t allow me to get a tour of the Tab in. At some point another project will have me back in SLC using the Church’s family resource information and hope to get around the city more. Check out my other blogs. Everything from now til Christmas Eve is going to be in either the SLC or Vernal areas, and one or two next week are planned to be as well.
