Buffalo River National Scenic River (Arkansas)

Last summer my wandering ways brought me to the Buffalo River National Scenic River in the Ozarks of Arkansas.  As you may know, last summer the Mississippi Valley had a very bad drought, and that can be seen from the photo below.  Hopefully for the sake of everyone whose lives are effected by the river it will be a better year this year.  Abnormally low water like that seen in this photo can take a heavy toll on small businesses that depend on visiting campers, and on river trips for their livelihood.

Want to visit the Buffalo River?  Here’s their site, its without question worth your trip!  http://www.nps.gov/buff/index.htm
