The road is calling and I must follow, across the creek, beyond the hill, to see where it leads, and then come home.
By the way, in large part because of this blog my image of Palmer Pond in the Adirondacks now outranks images from the state office that runs the site in Google image search. Thank you all. Lets see if we can do it again with an image of Marcy Dam.
Palmer Pond, in northern Warren County New York is part of the Adirondack Park and Preserve, one of the largest areas of preserved land in the United States. This location has been made accessible for those with physical disabilities who want to visit the pond.
The forests and mountains reflect in the glass like waters of Marcy Dam Pond, less then two weeks before Hurricane Irene damaged the dam, causing the pond to drain away.
