The Mountains of Madness

Sometimes an image isn’t what it looks like.  When a lot of people first look at this photo they see snow, with drifts across a wide plain reaching towards a distant mountain range.  You can feel the cold, the wind blowing across the plain, whipping the snow against your face.  You wonder what is beyond the horizon, more snow, a hidden city or the sea?  Is there an eternal evil lurking beneath the snow, here since before man first made tools?

Can’t wait to hear peoples thoughts on this one.
