I’ve Acquainted with the Dawn

I have been acquainted with the dawn

I’ve seen her glow

Kiss mountain tops

And grasp deep canyons

.

I’ve worked from dusk to dawn

And greeted her rosy cheek

I’ve worked from dawn to dusk

And remembered her all day

.

I’ve walked out

At night to feel her rays

And then gone

Home to bed
