24 Frames Houston – Discovery Green

OK, much like a roll of film 24 frames isn’t always going to happen.  This visit to Discovery Green is a great example of that.  The camera complained about the cold (which I’ve never had an Olympus do before, in far colder weather then this).  The “flowers” move around a great deal in the wind so many pieces that were in focus to begin with weren’t by the end of the exposure.

The installation of Bruno Munro’s Field of Light is an amazing sight, meant to look like fields of desert flowers that only bloom at night.  The LED system changes colors, allowing a visitor to almost feel a wave of color moving towards them.  http://www.discoverygreen.com/fieldoflight the installation will be present until Feb 22nd.

Did you know there is outdoor ice skating in Houston during the winter?  Many people from out of town are surprised when they see a crowd skating, or waiting for the Zamboni to finish clearing the ice.  Some afternoon when the lighting is better I hope to go and photograph more of the skating.  Ice Skating will end Feb 8th according to the Discovery Green website. http://www.discoverygreen.com/ice

Some time this afternoon or evening, actual titles and stuff.
