The Heritage Center at Homestead National Monument is meant to give the impression of a plow breaking up the land while coming westwards looming over the restored Tall Grass Prairie. It houses numerous educational displays, a film, and archival materials related to homesteading.
The Sower Club is a promotional club in Lincoln that provides funds for charities across Nebraska. Funds are raised via a semi-private lottery system known as pickle cards. Based on the statue atop the state capitol, this large inflatable balloon is carried in local parades, this one in Wilber during Czech Days.
